What You’ll Do
Colfax Corporate is looking for a data-driven, strategic, and high-performing Senior FP&A Manager to join our dynamic team in our headquarters in Wilmington, Delaware. Reporting to the VP of Finance, the Senior FP&A Manager (FP&A Mgr.) will support improvements to operating visibility and performance, provide support for M&A and other strategic actions, create, and improve standard corporate FP&A work. The Senior FP&A Manager will consolidate forecasts, build budgets, build key presentations for senior and the Board of Directors. The Senior FP&A Manager will leverage their analytical skill-set and technical skillset by doing extensive excel modeling. The Senior FP&A Manager will work closely with the Senior FP&A Analyst and act as a coach and a mentor. Other key responsibilities, include, but are not limited to:
Monitor business performance to (a) gauge performance versus (vs) forecast/budget (b) identify performance opportunities for added business focus (c) identify areas requiring corporate attention (d) harness experience to contribute to improved performance
Sharpen corporate-level financial and performance analytics to improve focus and relevance for the executive team and Board of Directors
Monthly forecast development with particular emphasis on quarterly forecast accuracy/attainment
Support completion of the annual plan (budgeting) process to ensure a solid top-level view and insights into business risks and opportunities
Support annual strategic planning financial projections to encourage attainable performance potential
Act as a coach and mentor to Senior FP&A Analyst in collaboration with VP of Finance
Provide Board of Directors AD-HOC support, including but not limited to, building PowerPoint presentations, and conducting analysis
Support M&A with financial modeling, analysis, and other strategic initiatives
Provide quarterly investor call support by playing a key part in developing supporting materials for the quarterly earnings calls
Other duties as assigned by the Company.
What You’ll Need
Required
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
At least 10 years of previous experience in an FP&A function. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Strong understanding and demonstrated experience with investor relations, m&a, and portfolio management.
Demonstrated experience in financial modeling, financial statement analysis, and business performance analysis.
Advanced Microsoft Excel is needed including the ability to compile and analyze large data sets.
Experience with Microsoft Word and Microsoft PowerPoint.
Strong technical acumen required. Experience with SAP, Hyperion, or similar system.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Approximately 10% domestic travel required, as needed.
Exceptional communicator to all employee levels including senior executives.
Ability to drive continuous improvement.
Effective at building relationships and trust.
Strong collaboration skills across functions and business platforms.
Comfortable working in a global matrix organization.
