Senior Accounting & Finance Analyst
What You Will Do:
The Accounting and Finance Sr. Analyst is responsible for the day-to-day operations of accounting and finance in addition to month-end procedures and reconciliations. The role is responsible for overseeing daily activities such as evaluating general ledger account details, facilitating month-end general ledger close procedures, engaging Capgemini for general accounting support and monitoring operational metrics. The role is also responsible for managing vendor invoice coding and expediting payment processing. As well as performing the monthly external customer invoicing process. The role will assist with monthly financial reporting as well as the annual financial statement and tax audits. This position reports to the Accounting and Finance Manager.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Develop general accounting and finance policies
Assess the completeness and accuracy of monthly journal entries
Prepare and review monthly balance sheet account reconciliations
Facilitates month-end close and reporting procedures
Analyze financial data for unusual trends and variances
Monitor operational metrics to identify and escalate any issues
Lead interactions with Capgemini for general accounting support
Continuously evaluate opportunities to leverage support from the Capgemini team
Proactively assist with vendor set-up and vendor payment management
Oversee the preparation of monthly external invoicing
Pulling weekly payroll files and monitoring general ledger payroll postings
Prepare and submit monthly invoices for payroll benefits, vending funding and other ad hoc billings
Provide financial information from research and analysis performed for ad hoc management requests
Gather supporting schedules and financial information for annual financial statement and tax audits
Lead change management projects and process improvement initiatives
For this role, you will need:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, an MBA is a plus
7+ years of accounting/finance experience with increasing responsibilities
Comprehensive understanding of general accounting/finance
Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Excel
Excellent analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Focus oriented with strict attention to details
Demonstrate effective prioritization abilities
Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written)
Hands-on working knowledge of SAP
