Altura is actively seeking an individual to serve as a critical partner for our project managers and leadership teams. The Financial Operations Manager will ensure that all financial aspects of our project engagements run smoothly and effectively. This highly visible and fast-paced position is charged with financial analysis & reporting, project accounting methods, and technology systems responsibilities and will report directly to the firm Principal in charge of business operations.
Candidates are expected to be familiar with the accounting, invoicing and financial reporting practices of professional services firms. Candidates must have the ability to work with professionals at all levels in the organization and to “wear many hats”. The Financial Operations Manager role provides prospective candidates with diverse opportunities for career growth and development in a rapidly growing company.
Scope & Responsibilities
Compile monthly project financial metrics reports, including data Q/C
Manage the financial strategy and recurring revenue functions for data analytics services
Support Project Managers with revenue recognition and invoicing processes
Create process improvements for project financial management and reporting
Manage project revenue forecasting and regular status reporting
Manage Accounts Receivable tracking and procedures
Liaison with corporate Accounting group as needed
Engage with and optimize Accounts Payable process (Coupa software)
Required Qualifications
2-5 years of professional experience working in a finance, accounting or operations role
Core understanding of professional services financial models
Bachelor’s or Graduate’s degree in business, finance, or operations management
Exemplary attention-to detail and problem-solving skills
Strong professional communication skills for interfacing with clients
Effective working in a collaborative team environment
Ambitious, positive, self starting, problem solving
Desired Qualifications
Experience working in an engineering consulting or similar professional services company
Experience in B2B software-as-a-service business models
