ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
The primary responsibility of the Operations Lead is to supervise the non-clinical operations of the medical practice to ensure compliance with State and Federal regulations and company policies and procedures that ensure the safety, security and privacy of the staff and its customers.
The individual provides support and guidance to staff so that the office runs efficiently and effectively.

The individual provides support and guidance to staff so that the office runs efficiently and effectively. The Operations Lead is responsible for handling employee matters on behalf of the company including recruiting, interviewing, hiring and firing of employees according to company policy.
Employee performance management is also a key responsibility. The Operations Lead oversees all of the administrative functions as well as the office financial health of the practice.
The scope of this position shall extend to 3-4 medical practices within a similar geographic area.
This position will serve as the liaison between multiple practices, the billing company, external vendors, and the corporate office.
The Operations Lead will assist in developing the provider network which may include wholly owned centers and affiliate provider practices.
The individual will have P&L responsibility for each of the centers assigned.
The position will lead the organization’s efforts to create an effective, efficient model of care delivery that meets the standards of a Patient Centric Medical Home.
Opportunity for career advancement and growth : The organization expects to grow and expand into additional markets through acquisitions and through the addition of affiliate providers.
Therefore, over time, the Operations Lead position may evolve to a regional and / or higher-level position such as Director of Practice Operations or Director of Market Operations.
QUALIFICATIONS :
Excellent communications and leadership skills
Management experience, minimum 5 years in medical practice (required); primary care (FP, IM) is preferred.
Computer knowledge and experience (Word, excel, electronic medical records, etc.) is a requirement.
Business and financial experiential knowledge required.
Clinical (nursing or medical) knowledge preferred.
Experiential knowledge of the Patient Centered Medical Home model of care delivery is required.
Bachelor’s degree in healthcare or related field required (master’s degree preferred)
Strong leadership and organizational skills are imperative.
Experiential knowledge of Medicare Advantage is a plus.
A background that is strong in customer service
REQUIREMENTS FOR POSITION :
Hearing : Adequate to perform the essential functions of the job.
Speaking : Must be able to communicate with physicians, patients and multiple personnel.
Vision : Normal visual acuity including depth perception.
Other : Subject to the hazards of radiation, patient body fluids.
Travel : Approximately 25% of the time will require local travel across similar medical practices; possibly to participate in marketing and other company activities to promote the practice.

Manual dexterity is required to use desktop computers and peripherals. Exposure to variable weather conditions is likely.
