Position Overview
In this unique role you will lead critical financial projects and manage the overall tax strategy for a growing family office. Working with the owners, CLE executives, the business unit leaders, and the external accounting firm, you will create and implement a strategic tax plan that spans several years. In addition to the tax planning, you will oversee and contribute to important company financial activities including building revenue models and partnering with the finance teams in the business to provide your expertise. The executive level position is a great opportunity for someone with both tax and general financial capabilities to grow their career in a positive culture and for a growing enterprise.
Tax Responsibilities
Develop the CLE tax strategy by reviewing financial statements and other records to identify areas where taxes can be reduced
Ensure that all tax laws are followed by employees of the company so that they do not receive any fines or penalties from the IRS
Coordinate with auditors and other tax professionals to develop tax strategies
Ensure that all tax forms are filled out accurately and on time and that CLE complies with all local, state, and federal tax laws and regulations
Review company financial statements, such as income statements and balance sheets, to determine the appropriate tax treatment of transactions
Prepare and filing tax returns with the IRS and other tax agencies such as state departments of revenue or taxation departments
Manage CLE?s tax planning and compliance activities to ensure that all tax liabilities are met
Finance Responsibilities
Direct financial planning and contribute to the strategy for CLE
Work with finance teams in the businesses to analyze their data to projection models
Help to mentor and grow finance team members
Lead budget process for CLE and coordinate timelines for all the businesses
Analyze and report on financial performance
Analyzing complex financial data
Analyze trends to reduce financial risks associated with making investment or spending decisions
Have a strong understanding of fiscal policy and investment regulations
