Job purposePlans, organizes and directs the City’s Finance Department including financial planning (annual budget) and financial operations (treasury, accounting, financial reporting, payroll and procurement). Designated as the Investment Officer for the City of Mathis. Provides recommendations to the City Manager for strategic direction of fiscal policy matters to maintain and enhance the financial health of the CityDuties and responsibilitiesDirects the maintenance and operation of the general accounting system of the City.
QualificationsQualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting with more than seven years of progressively responsible experience in public finance, accounting, budgeting, and/or cash and debt management, including at least four years of supervisory experience.
