Primary Job Functions:
Communicate effectively and positively with factory associates, supervisors, managers and executive team and contactors in a manner that addresses all concerns and inquiries.
Directs the activities of our associated directly responsible for the safe operation of the equipment used to produce our finished products.
Drives and champions a culture of operational excellence, proactiveness, ownership of equipment and ?what can I do to help today?.
Inspect completed work with conformance to prints, specifications and standards
Studies production schedules and estimates work hour requirements for completion of assignments
Ensures compliance of all safety procedures and is a part of the Safety Committee Team.
Establishes or adjusts production work procedures to meet production schedules
Analyzes and resolves work problems, or assists workers in solving work problems
Initiates or suggests plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals
Maintain records of throughput, uptime, planned and unplanned DT. This includes tracking critical KPI?s relevant to production
Coordinate activities of associates who operate all production equipment (Kitchen, Enrobing, Chocolate Pumping, Hand Coating, etc.) and ensure the most efficient processes to complete demand planning needs.
Continues to develop, modify, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures for the safe operation of all production equipment and workflow for the department
Give reviews to all direct reports annually. Also meet with associates reporting to you at lease bi-weekly. These one on ones should be used to provide feedback as well as give the associate the opportunity to ask questions or assistance.
Drive your associates to look for opportunities around material loss reduction and foster a continuous improvement mentality amongst your team and associates.
Must bring a positive attitude (can do and what can I do to help) to their job.
Required to possess and demonstrate a restless sense of urgency on the timeliness and quality of their work.
Bring a positive disposition and attitude when interacting with Asher?s team member at all times.
Secondary Job Functions:
Plans, develops, and implements new methods and procedures designed to improve operations, minimize operating costs, and effect greater utilization of labor and materials
Work with contractors, suppliers and outside contacts as needed
Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of work crews
While performing the duties of this job the manager is must be willing to stand and walk over an eight (8) hour shift. The manager must frequently lift and/or move up to 100 pounds, either physically or with powered industrial material handling equipment
