Position: Finance Manager
Reports to: Executive Director
Coordinates with: Managers and Directors within the Organization, Finance
Committee, and Leadership Council
Supervises: One full-time employee who handles accounts receivable and
payables
Location: Golden, Colorado (majority of tasks must be done on-site)
This position is responsible for all financial aspects within the Centers for Spiritual Living and will provide the financial reports and overall financial management necessary for the fiscally prudent operation of the organization. This role will be an integral part of the management, the incumbent will ensure development of a strong finance team through the mentoring of key individuals.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business, or related field; Master’s Degree or CPA license preferred. Five years progressive experience in full-service, hands-on fund-accounting, payroll, and budgeting. Working knowledge of GAAP and FASB pronouncements related to 501(c)3 Not for Profit organizations. Ability to upgrade processes for better utilization of automated processes like purchase orders and cash receipts. Ability to work well with teams and communicate effectively with others.
Job Responsibilities Operations & Compliance (60%)
Accounts Receivable.
Budget & Accounting (20%)
Council Members in preparation of a multi-departmental budget.
Routine Reports & Presentations (10%)
Leadership Council on a monthly basis. Statements include cash flow, balance sheet, income statement and comparisons to budget and prior year. Preparation of event and special project reporting.
