We are looking for a Senior Fund Accountant for CBRE Investment Accounting & Reporting Solutions ( CBRE IA&R ), an ambitious and growing environment. In this role, you will assist the Controller in coordinating the (fund) reporting by keeping track of deadlines and deliverables, communicating with different internal and external stakeholders, and preparing and reviewing fund reporting (templates).
Essential duties and responsibilities:
Financial Statement & Budgets:
Supports production of fund financial statements and other required financial information including, but not limited to, investor funded and unfunded commitments, asset accrual methodology, and output.
Supports preparation of periodic financial statements; assists with audit and tax preparation and review.
Supports budgeting, forecasting, and reporting activities.
Assists in designing and preparing client presentations relating to the fund.
Monitors Financial Performance:
Monitors, compiles, and analyzes financial data; performs detailed review of property level reports.
Treasury Function:
Supports the daily activities of the treasury, cash management, and accounting function of the fund.
Reviews and signs-off on property level bank account reconciliations.
Posts journal entries and money-movement transactions.
Ensures all fund transactions are properly posted to an accounting system.
Prepares and reconciles trial balances for assigned funds.
Supports the preparation of investment and positions reconciliations and reconciliation of cash balances.
Performs periodic asset payment, cash, and corporate action reconciliations.
NAV Calculation:
Prepares, analyses, and reviews periodic NAV calculations.
Updates and monitors daily trading, general ledger activity, and pricing of funds for daily NAV calculation.
Investors’ Contact:
Supports preparation of investor notices and IRR and performance reporting models.
Customer Service:
Troubleshoots escalated issues timely, accurately and with a focus on customer service.
Special Projects:
May participate in special projects including new fund set-up and fund closures.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
No formal supervisory responsibilities in this position.
Job requirements
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
Prior experience in fund level accounting preferred with real estate accounting or fund accounting software systems.
Solid technical financial skills and intermediate knowledge of GAAP, FASB, REIS, IFRS, and in-region/in-country standards where applicable
Solid economics, math, and analytical skills, and ability to apply them in the pursuit of diverse situations.
Knowledge of real estate terms, definitions, and real estate analytical methodology.
Knowledge of Company financial systems as well as internal and external information sources.
Intermediate knowledge of computer software and hardware (ie, Microsoft Office Suite Products).
Ability to work in multiple accounting software applications.
Strong coordinative skills and well-developed judgment
Hands-on, accurate, and proactive
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
Ability to build strong working relationships with colleagues from different countries and cultures.

Fund Services Team
The Fund Services team is responsible for the financial reporting, budget, forecast, controlling, and cash flow planning for funds and separate accounts. The team is the link between the business, clients, finance, and Funds. The team fulfills an important function in supplying reliable and complete financial information and gives solicited and unsolicited advice. The team carries out checks on the underlying data of the fund and is responsible for preparing reports to external stakeholders. Within CBRE IA&R the team has broad responsibilities including the preparation of liquidity forecasts, payment of dividends, budget forecast, and the preparation of various tax returns. In addition, the team provides functional management to asset finance departments within CBRE IA&R.
