About the role
The Global Finance Director will be responsible for developing and leading the following finance functions, but is not limited to: annual budget preparation, monthly forecasting, strategic planning, management reporting, and other special projects.
Directly or indirectly supervises team of 20Travel is required – up to 20%
What you’ll do
Oversee finance function for multiple LOB’s and consolidated overhead and platform reporting for GCS, or a business Division headed by an EMD or Division President.
Assist Executive Management with setting direction for the business; seeks out and communicates actionable steps that can be taken to help meet the financial goals of the business.
Direct and coordinate budgeting, forecasting and strategic planning processes as well as standard management reporting. Establish overall departmental priorities and ensures that all timelines are met.
Work closely with Operations to support other initiatives which could include pricing, global reporting, strategic analytics with a focus on improving margins and finding opportunities in the business for growth.
Ensure complete knowledge of monthly results. Direct staff in preparation of results presentation to senior finance management and business leaders. Present results to senior business leaders.
Define and direct special projects to advance financial analysis and quality of reports to support management decisions.
Assess staffing levels and abilities to evaluate department needs. Identifies and provides development opportunities for staff.
Provides formal supervision to team leads and employees within single functional or operational area. Approves recommendations for staff recruitment, selection, promotion, advancement, corrective action and termination. Effectively recommends same for their associates to next level management for review and approval. Plans and monitors appropriate staffing levels and utilization of labor, including overtime. Prepares and delivers performance appraisal for staff. Mentors and coaches team members to further develop competencies. Leads and models behaviors that are consistent with the company’s values.

What you’ll need
Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) from a four-year college or university in a business related field.
Requires a minimum of 10 years related experience to include at least five years in a management role.
Public accounting experience preferred.
CPA or MBA (graduate degree) preferred, but not required (depending on experience).
Excellent oral and written communication skills to communicate with peers, business people and management.
Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret the business documents.
Ability to empower and work jointly with business partners, key employees, top management, and client groups on various projects.
Requires in-depth knowledge of financial terms and principles.
Reviews financial/business analysis and reports prepared by subordinates.
Ability to analyze business/financial data and develop innovative solution
Develops and implements financial policies and procedures.
