The FP&A role will lead the Company’s financial forecasting processes, annual budgeting process, operating plan variance analysis and special projects. This role will provide financial analysis and strategic support to the Senior Leadership Team including preparing board presentations, financial presentations, capital expenditure analysis, evaluating new business opportunities and other projects requested by senior management. This function acts as the analytical engine for the company to provide insights and support ‘optimal’ business decision making. This role reports directly to the VP, Finance & Controller.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Analyze current and past trends in key performance indicators including all areas of revenue, cost of sales, expenses and capital expenditures.
Cash forecasting and investor related / credit agreement covenant compliance
Scenario analysis
Monitor performance indicators, highlighting trends and analyzing causes of unexpected variance.
Oversee and manage the continued development of budgeting, financial forecasting, operating plan and modeling tools.
Prepare ad-hoc reporting and analysis.
Support development of Monthly Operating Report.
Develop monthly and quarterly financial reports, including variance analysis, root cause analysis and variance explanations.
Improve performance by evaluating processes to drive efficiencies and understand ROI in marketing programs, pricing and new projects.
Develop financial models and analyses to support strategic initiatives.
Analyze complex financial information and reports to provide accurate and timely financial recommendations to management for decision making purposes.
Support Senior Leadership Team with in-depth analysis.
Prepare presentations to Board of Directors and Senior Leadership Team.
Requirements:
BS/BA or equivalent accredited degree
1-3 years of work experience in corporate finance, management consulting or investment banking – ideally with exposure to technology / infrastructure / transportation / mobility
CFA a plus
Outstanding conceptual, analytical, quantitative, and creative problem-solving skills
Strong aptitude for analytics, including experience building financial / market models for the purpose of executive decision-making on investments and other corporate priorities
Strong presence and communication skills, verbal and written
