Job Summary :
The Senior Accounting Manager is under the direct supervision and direction of the Controller Working in a team environment, the Accounting Senior Manager handles a variety of tasks in producing and analyzing the monthly financial statements
This position adheres to all Federal, State, Local and Company policies and regulations This position promotes and supports the Company’s core values of Compassion, a positive Attitude, Respect and Excellence
Essential Job Responsibilities :
Completing monthly closings of companies
Preparing monthly consolidated and divisional financial statements
Preparing, processing, and reviewing journal entries
Reconciling general ledger accounts
Reviewing branch performance
Adhering to a strict closing schedule
Assisting in the annual audit process
Preparing weekly sales reports
Providing analysis and research as needed to ensure accurate financial information
Managing and developing GL Accounting team
Participate in acquisition integration activities
Assisting in special projects and activities, as assigned
Requirements :
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, CPA preferred
Experience in the healthcare industry preferred
– years of experience in accounting, specifically working in general ledger
Microsoft Dynamics GP experience preferred
ADP experience preferred
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Flexible scheduling to meet changing closing deadlines
Strong Excel skills
Comfortable working collaboratively in cross-functional teams
Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with all levels of an organization
