Lead UI Engineer

We are looking for a curious, self-driven, and team minded Lead UI Engineer to join us. As a UI Engineer, you will be responsible for implementing the core components and functionality that our users see and interact with daily, making your role essential to the success of our business.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Mentoring and leading team members of varying skill levels

• Enabling cross-functional teams within the front-end ecosystem

• Using your experience to drive the team’s technical roadmap

• Building scalable applications with Javascript (React), HTML, and CSS

• Using React to build highly optimized and scalable world-class single-page applications

• Code primarily in JavaScript using modern ES6+ standards

• Collaborating with other engineers, designers, and technical product managers to write, test, and deploy your code safely to production

• Participating in a strong culture of ownership, pragmatism, testing, teaching, and learning

• Working closely with Product, Design, Platform Services, and Release Management teams to contribute to our application roadmap

• Investigating, diagnosing and resolving issues within the application

• Experience working in an agile environment (e.g. Scrum/Kanban)

• Ensuring that the application follows W3C Accessibility Guidelines

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree

• At least 5 years experience in software development using Javascript (React), HTML, and CSS

• At least 2 years serving as a technical lead on software projects

Preferred Qualifications:

• Masters Degree

• 8+ years experience in software development

• 7+ years experience in Agile practices
