Position Summary:
When it comes to Google Ads, Social Ads, and other targeted advertising, the Paid Search Manager (PSM) provides the expertise and execution to make it happen – for us and our clients. This position is tasked to ensure that the client’s needs are being addressed by the services we provide. The PSM is expected to manage, optimize, and report on paid search initiatives for client work, as well as represent the best interest of client in interactions with the team. This role will work directly with account management teams (Digital Strategists and Account Managers) and report to the Director of Operations. Client engagement is required in limited interactions, while the main distribution of the PSM’s expertise will be realized in team interactions, client reporting, and C1 marketing functions. However, the PSM is not alone in these tasks – C1 account teams function to support the initiatives and solve identified hurdles to success.
Essential Functions:
The PSM is primarily responsible for the success of paid search campaigns, ensuring that ROI is achieved, maintained, and communicated to the client in a consistent manner. This person plays a critical role in discovering hurdles to success with the execution of the account, working with the team and clients to recommend and solve issues. If an issue exists that prevents a steady flow of qualified impressions, traffic, and leads, the PSM is working to solve it. The PSM is consulted on new client engagements to ensure client engagements have the best possible chance at success. As C1 furthers engagement with media management and programmatic advertising initiatives, the PSM will also manage vendor relationships to achieve successful campaigns.
· Responsible for management of Google Ads campaigns, including copywriting, keyword research tasks, and other supporting initiatives.
· Directly controls all major deliverables (campaign construction, ad group management, automated bidding strategies) to ensure high quality scores and competitive metrics are achieved.
· Manages paid social efforts, including Facebook, LinkedIn, and other similar channels
· Ensures that client issues are dealt with in an efficient manner, informing the Digital Strategist or Director of Operations of any current or potential problems that may arise.
· Assist in the execution of C1 Partners marketing initiatives as required / allowed by capacity
· Works closely with vendors, developers, and writers to complete tasks and identify potential issues and/or opportunities within or related to the project.
· Ensures that all processes and procedures are completed, quality standards are met, and that projects are profitable.
· Executes or manages the construction of landing environments for converting paid traffic
· Construct clear reports and transparently demonstrating success or failures to clients.
· Uncover opportunities for account growth and new business.
· Communicate the client’s goals and represent the client’s interests to the team.
· Provide regular communication to the team on key campaign updates and shifts in established KPI’s
· Analyze client websites or dedicated landing environments and, utilizing trained best practices, recommend and/or implement improvements as they relate to marketing goals.
Required Knowledge, Critical Skills, and Expertise:
· An entrepreneurial spirit and a willingness to understand new businesses and industries
· 3-5 years of experience as a certified Google Ads account manager. Pre-existing Google Ads certification is required for this position.
· Intimate understanding of the relationship between Google Analytics, goal tracking, and managing reporting environments to translate activities to ROI
· Experience managing and/or directly implementing landing environments
· Ability to communicate clearly and effectively to team members and clients, including (but not limited too):
o Education on value of services provided or merits of executing campaign recommendations
o Technical expertise and required tasks to achieve a successful campaign
o Exploring and recommending opportunities to grow additional revenue for both C1 & client
· Self-motivation and a passion to learn
· Effective time management and organization is essential to this position
· Comfort in navigating WordPress CMS / HTML
· Ability to work within a team and a matrix organizational structure
Desired Knowledge, Critical Skills, and Expertise:
These are not required, but candidates possessing these skills will be preferred:
· Experience with Agency Analytics or similar automated reporting software
· Knowledge or experience working with Centro, or other similar DSP / Programmatic platform
· Certifications in Hubspot Inbound Marketing, Google Analytics, or other relevant functions
· Graphic design management / creative brief experience
· Amazon shopping, Google shopping campaigns, and E-commerce related functions
· Familiarity with Wrike or similar account management software
· Familiarity with digital marketing analysis software (SEMRush, Ahrefs, Spyfu, just to name a few…)

· A strong knowledge of search engines, SEO best practices, and how to effectively market on SERP’s
· Develop compelling messaging and creative to generate and improve performance of key marketing metrics
· Communication and KPI presentation skills with clients
· An understanding of how online and traditional marketing supplement, improve, and support each other

Education/Experience
Although all candidates will be considered, at least three years of professional marketing experience is required. Candidates with 3-5 years of experience in this role will be preferred. Experience with Amazon, programmatic / placed media management, and other related functions are desired.
A college degree required, preferably with concentrations in business, communications, marketing, IT/technology, or other applicable background.
Communication Skills:
You will be working in a team environment, so interpersonal communication and communal problem solving are essential. You will help manage and direct a network of outside service providers. An ability to understand and deal effectively with co-workers, vendors, and developers regarding performance concerns or issues according to company best practices regardless of attitude, behavior or tone of the individual is essential.
Location / COVID-19 Concerns:
C1 follows COVID-19 guidelines as provided by the CDC and the city and state of Denver, CO. As of writing, this requires remote work for all staff. While we continue to evolve our working from home and on location relationships and activities, staff will be required to work at our downtown Denver location when the office is cleared to return to normal capacity. After 9 months of working from home, we’re excited to get back in the office!
