SUMMARY
The Business and Finance Director will perform a variety of tasks in Management, Accounting, Aviation Accounting, and Administration.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Corporate Office-Management
· Maintain vendor contact list for all real estate locations
· Lead role in all property management projects. Coordinate and schedule all projects and repairs with on-site Maintenance personnel.
· Property Maintenance: provide a monthly status report to President, obtain competitive bids, prepare and maintain monthly vendor/repair calendar and distribute to maintenance staff.
· Provide President and House Manager project outline, timeline, estimated cost, and payment deadlines
· Meet with Household Manager, Exterior Property Maintenance, and outside vendors weekly and/or monthly to discuss repair and project issues.
· Assist with human relations and work performance issues within the organization.
Corporate Office-Accounting
· Maintains, documents, and reviews all accounting processes and procedures including banking, tax matters, and cash flow requirements.
· Coordinates and reviews all contracts and sales agreements.
· Maintains and reviews general ledger and financial statements. Prepares and updates annual cash flow projections.
· Oversees payroll, including time-keeping, payroll tax deposits, and SarSep (retirement) monthly records.
· Coordinates the acquisition and disposition of corporate assets
· Coordinates banking activities including deposits, wire transfers and bank statement reconciliation.
· Accounts payable: Review bills for accuracy/reasonableness, process checks, and file supporting paperwork
· Prepares general ledger and financial statements for all entities and delivers to CPA to use in preparing tax returns and final statements.
· Maintain filing system for all companies.
· Create Excel spreadsheets and perform data analysis
· Assist with updating list of items that are updated and distributed quarterly/annually (telephone cards, address book, channel list)
· Maintain all records/files of assets purchased, vendor, and insurance files.
· If needed, drive to the bank each week for deposits and post office
Corporate Office-Administrative
· Maintains and coordinates renewal of corporate insurance and employee health/dental/life insurance policies.
· Submits health/dental insurance enrollment applications, Worker’s Compensation claims, COBRA forms and termination documents.
· Maintains employee handbook, policies and job descriptions, distributing updates and advising of new issues as necessary.
· Assists President in miscellaneous purchases, legal matters, special projects, and other business matters as necessary.
· Composes and prepares correspondence.
· Collect, distribute, and open mail.
· Maintains copier, fax machine, assist with office staff technical issues and help maintain office supply room.
· Other duties as assigned by Corporate President, shareholders, and other corporate officers
· Responsible for resolving workstation (software/hardware), wifi, and network issues either individually or in conjunction with information technology vendor
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position has direct supervisory responsibility for the Accounting Department and will serve as adjunct supervisor for personnel issues as directed by the president.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree (B. A.) from a four-year college or university (Accounting degree preferred) with 5 years of related business experience that includes Accounting.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of Algebra. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Applicant must be insurable and possess a valid driver’s license for the past five (5) years, with an excellent driving record as verified by the Florida Department of Motor Vehicles or any other state in which a previous license was issued in that period of time. Applicant must have access to their own car each day of work.
