This role is responsible for the full cycle accounting of our businesses, shares in some office administration/management responsibilities, and actively participates in the interaction and management of our valued clients and vendors.
This position reports directly to the CEO. This full-time position requires on-site presence and is not a remote position.
Provide full cycle accounting for all corporate entities
Manage and maintain general ledger
Manage A/R, managing client invoices and managing the collections process
Supervise workload and performance of bookkeeping assistant
Manage accounts payable and liaise with CO staff to ensure timely payments
Manage all aspects of payroll, including preparing payrolls, managing our outsourced payroll provider, and handling all tax and reporting requirements
Manage 401k program and provider
Manage all aspects of Sales Tax, from setup to collection to filings
Provide financial oversight of our procurement operation
Reconcile bank and credit card statements on a monthly basis
Close the books and present financial statements to executives monthly
File final financial statements as necessary
Work closely with tax consultant and owner for proper tax planning and preparation
Share in management of benefits and insurance administration
Oversee the management and administration of our building entities
Other duties as required
Strong knowledge of purchasing concepts and pricing/contract negotiations
Prepare, issue, and negotiate purchase orders, subcontracts, terms and conditions, supply agreements, and other agreements with vendors.
Work with our sales team to answer questions regarding our customer agreements. Draft addendums when minor changes are needed regarding our agreements. Escalate to our legal counsel when appropriate.
Manage annual agreements which includes insurance, leases, software, etc.
Minimum 7 years of experience in Finance, including full-service bookkeeper, all aspects of payroll management for small or mid-size businesses
Bachelor’s in Finance, Business or another related field
Expert hands-on knowledge of QuickBooks
In-depth knowledge of sales tax rules and filing requirements, and expert knowledge of sales tax module in QuickBooks
Expert knowledge of Excel and other MS Office programs
Collaborative, hard-working and exceptionally detail oriented
Excellent communication skills
Success managing staff and implementing processes
Experience in consulting services industry a plus
