The Senior Accountant reports to the Assistant Controller and is responsible for participating in managing the accounting and reporting of the College’s financial systems, controls and reports as well as financial activities of all State, Local and Federal programs. Responsibilities also include monitoring and reporting for Financial Aid and Loan Fund accounts including posting due to/from transactions for Financial Aid and Department of Education allocation drawdowns. The Senior Accountant also reconciles the College’s various cash accounts on a daily basis, records monthly accruals for Revenue and provides data for required College reporting to outside agencies and assists in preparing the College’s Financial Statements which are distributed to the College’s Board of Directors. The Senior Accountant acts as the backup to the Assistant Controller.
Salary Range: $54,039 – $69,080 (Salary placement determined based on experience above the minimum qualifications)

Minimum Qualifications:
Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and a minimum of 4 years of progressive accounting experience.
Must possess strong computer skills with a solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite most importantly Excel (Database reporting experience helpful).
Candidates must possess strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Must be a hands-on team player and have the ability to work independently to complete multiple time-sensitive assignments.
Professional background should show a clear progression of increasing level of accounting responsibilities.
Preferred Qualification:
Master’s degree in Accounting and minimum two years’ progressive experience in accounting.
Additional Information: This position is operating on a hybrid schedule, with an on-campus/in office presence 3 days a week.
