Finance
The Senior Finance Manager, Retail Strategy & Strategic Investment is responsible for all facets of promoting Bridgestone Retail Operations (BSRO) strategic investment and expense management based on the medium- to long-term business strategy concept.
This individual will work in collaboration with Corporate Global Controlling Group and BSRO various project teams and will be responsible for qualitatively and quantitatively evaluate BSRO strategic investment and expenses from various angles such as strategic / profitability, and while tracing after execution, issue alerts as necessary and include withdrawal.
The position will report to the Vice President Retail Operations, Bridgestone Americas.
Examination / evaluation of strategic investment expense application on a global basis
Examination / evaluation of inorganic business development initiatives: M&A, divestitures, as well as venture capital investments on a global basis
Key liaison with BSAM Corporate Controlling Group Finance on capital projects requiring BSJ approval
Support for strategic investment and expense management
Post-execution tracing and evaluation of strategic investments and expenses through global collaboration;
Lead consolidation of KPI tracking for BSJ
Lead capital planning for BSAM including OB/MBP formulation and template management
Consolidate capital forecasts for BSAM on monthly basis
Maintain BOD and MBR capital report outs and post audit scheduling
Coordinates the teamwork and delivery of financial analysis across organizational boundaries (e.g. project teams, divisions, geographies, and functional support), simplifying complex information into crisp/digestible data-driven insights, necessary to make smart business decisions,
Provides support to Corporate Strategy and Development team for key initiatives
Provides constructive coaching, removing obstacles and barriers, BSRO strategic initiatives performance are maximized
Bachelor’s degree in Finance or related field
8+ years of related experience, preferably investment banking and/or private equity, with 2-3 years experience in corporate M&A required.
Demonstrated ability to build meaningful relationships, communicate and present at the C-Suite level
Ability to work in a results-oriented, project-driven, real-time team environment, prioritize projects and deliver quality results within tight time constraints
Proven ability to develop strategic plans that meet business objectives
Demonstrate poise, professionalism, and business savvy in representing BSAM to external partners
Experience and comfort in initiating and cultivating relationship with external parties
Ability to navigate and collaborate up and down, and peer to peer throughout the organization
Energetic leadership with an entrepreneurial spirit which is contagious across the organization
Highly motivated; proactive and action‐oriented; strong sense of pace and urgency
