Bricker is a place where YOU belong.We are currently seeking a Legal Assistant (secretary) to join our team in our Cleveland, Ohio location. The individual selected for this position will possess strong secretarial and administrative talents with at least five years of prior legal experience to support our Public Finance practice. Specifically, this position will assist attorneys who work in municipal finance, federal taxation and securities law, and serve as bond counsel and underwriters counsel for a variety of clients, including but not limited to school districts, banking institutions, municipalities and local governments.*
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: *

• Prior legal experience, preferably in the public finance or corporate area;
• Ability to collect general research regarding school districts, municipalities and local governmental agencies;
• Drafting correspondence, memos, reports, and general forms accurately and efficiently;
• Maintaining filing system;
• Detail oriented, meticulous;
• Assisting other legal assistants during periods of heavy workload and/or absences;
• Proofreading documents and the ability to make global changes and compare documents;
• Ability to format/edit large documents;
• Knowledge of using styles as well as creating and updating tables of content and numbering;
• Assisting with attorney time entry and billing;
• Providing a high level of client service;
• Process payments for travel and reimbursements; and
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required;
• Strong organizational skills;
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications;
• Outstanding typing, spelling, proofreading, and grammatical skills;
• Strong attention to detail; self-starter; ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment; and enthusiasm for working as part of a team.
