Job Summary:
As the Director of Finance of the DoubleTree by Hilton Breckenridge, you would be responsible for ensuring the finances of the hotel are balanced daily in the hotel’s continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service, exceptional standards of life & safety and financial profitability.

Job Responsibilities:
Work with the General Manager to develop a proactive and aware strategy to drive fiscal success of the hotel.
Budget, forecast and support fiscal responsibility within the operations of the hotel.
Oversee the financial strategic planning of the company by evaluating its performance and potential risks.
Perform regular financial analysis.
Establish targets and manage all accounting and finance employees including management accountants and internal auditors.
Supervise all audit and internal control processes.
Prepare detailed reports on the company’s financial performance.
Guarantee compliance with financial laws and guidelines.
Recognize patterns in company spending, revenue, and recommend solutions to any problem areas.
Coordinate with external financial entities on behalf of the company.
Communicates effectively in writing and verbally to provide direction.
Handling any guest questions on billing and payment providing exceptional service and resolution.
Focus on providing world-class service for every guest at every opportunity.
Works closely with all departments to ensure that finance reporting is accurate and timely.
Use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, plans, and conclusions for fiscal responsibility
Comply with the latest details laws and requirements for collecting and reporting financial details.
Ensure work assignments are completed with no rework and with little to no supervision
Act as a financial liaison to all other departments
Update daily accounting and business files.
Reconcile credit card settlements and nightly batch processing daily.
Post and apply all checks on property and keep an accurate check log balanced to PMS
Ensure that all corporate invoices are posted and accrued in a timely manner.
Audit postings to internal accounts daily to ensure accurate recording of liabilities.
Maintain an accurate log of all Tax Exempt Revenue.
Ensure group billing is complete and issued in 48 hours.
Conduct all Hilton and Vail Resorts training to provide tools for the teams to be safe on the job and in compliance with standards.
Successfully complete other duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications:
College degree in business, finance or hospitality – Required
Minimum two years in accounting operations – Required
Advanced Excel – required
In-depth knowledge of accounting software, corporate principals, and financial analysis.
Able to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays as required.
Detail oriented on assigned tasks and the ability to follow through to a conclusion
Strong communication skills
Ability to take ownership of projects and drive production through completion
Ability to work successfully in a strong team environment
The budgeted range starts at $73,000 – $88,950 + annual bonus. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience.
