Role synopsis
We have a fantastic opportunity for a Finance Analyst to drive performance as well as challenge the status-quo to transform and expand our integrated Fuels Supply & Midstream (FS&M) business!
Fuel supply and midstream serves our ground fuels and specialty product customers while optimizing the value chain and ensuring quality from crude to customer delivery. We drive performance by maximizing the integrated fuel value chain P&L, and acting as its custodian, through supply optimization, channel of trade management and fuels pricing, enabled through data and an agile org structure.
We drive the commercial optimization of bp’s seven operated refineries, while simultaneously serving an extensive portfolio of B2B customers and supply counterparties. FSM enables supply and demand optimization through close collaboration with Trading & Shipping (T&S). In addition, we own and deliver carbon intensity reduction efforts within Midstream in line with bp’s ambitions.
The Finance Analyst is a member of the FS&M PPM Team, responsible for the reporting, forecasting, and overall financial delivery of the East Gulf Coast region’s B2B and Supply business. This position will work closely with the finance team and the business to ensure that projects are progressing as expected, financialize businesses opportunities, and support decision making in conjunction with the business teams.

Key accountabilities
Be the lead finance contact for Integrated Gross Margin within the East Gulf Coast footprint for Finance PPM.
Enable the integration of margin and cost reporting into a single process that supports timely commercial decision making
Understand, assure, and report the monthly performance of the EGC Midstream footprint including deal impacts, cash costs, and exchange performance contributing to the total margin reported
Support the CBM lead with the Finance PPM components of FS&M Road map / Strategy / LTP activity and it ensure accurately represents actual delivery and realistic expectations of future performance
Define key financial metrics for delivery of FS&M components of BP’s 2030 targets and enable their automated collection and tracking.
Identify where systems (lack of, heritage etc.) are blockers to good financial data to support commercial decision making and project manage interventions and solutions.
Support BPR process from a Finance perspective including building the finance perspective, integration with the business on the overall messages and story.
Essential education
A Bachelor’s degree or higher is required – preferably in Finance or Accounting
CPA, MBA or Chartered Accountant, preferred
Essential experience and job requirements
8+ years of relevant finance and accounting experience
Experience in midstream / B2B business, preferred.
Extensive experience with financial reporting and analysis.
Experience managing and balancing multiple customer groups
Excellent Excel, Powerpoint

Ability to create insights from data analysis and challenge the status quo
