Furthermore, you will be responsible for value creation through mergers and acquisition-led ?deals, commercial negotiations and integration of business opportunities.?
Transformation – driving digital transformation (centralising, digitising, optimising) across all elements of the finance entity to ?achieve sector-leading cost-performance.?

About the Team
The Finance Planning Team primary accountabilities are Planning and Performance management, Economic Modeling and Evaluations (including Investment Governance (IG) and business case optimization) Joint Venture management, Financials management of activities supporting delivery of the businesses in Gulf of Mexico / Canada and Latin America. This role reports to the Senior Finance Planning Manager – Gulf of Mexico / Canada and Latin America. The role provides good exposure to the VP Finance and Business leadership team with close collaboration with the Performance, ARC and Area Finance teams.

The successful candidate will hold the following accountabilities
The successful candidate will hold the following key planning and performance accountabilities as part of the GOMC Above Area team:
Develop an in-depth understanding of the value and performance drivers of the business providing insights and analysis of in-year and long-term business plans
Work collaboratively with the Performance and Area finance teams to create an integrated and seamless planning and performance reporting process. Systematically identify and address continuous improvement opportunities
Support the preparation and coordination of QPF and GFR submissions. Maintain and manage the GOMC QPF PBI report to provide deeper insights and minimize workload on the Area teams.
Subject matter expert on cash costs. Consolidate and analyze total cash cost for the business highlighting risks and opportunities. Work closely with the business leadership team in delivering in year and multiyear cost plans.
Prepare material and provide insights for the Business Performance Reviews with EVP and the Business Finance Reviews with Finance SVP.
Lead the cost and partner recovery efforts for above region costs (Time-writing, Recharges and Allocations) working with the Area and Central teams.
Co-ordination and preparation of the Regional Development Plan
Lead the cash options and quarterly Cash LE processes
Work on ad-hoc projects and requests supporting the business leadership team and the planning and performance management initiatives
Essential Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics or equivalent Business degree
Experience in the energy industry, in a mixture of Finance, planning, performance, economic evaluation, Investment governance processes, JV and agreement management
Highly proficient skills in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Power BI.
Minimum 10 year work experience

Communicate and coordinate across a broad spectrum of technical and non-technical work groups
Strong team-working skills and ability to effectively influence and build alignment with individuals and within multi-disciplinary teams
Able to understand and analyze complex issues, in a fast-paced environment, identify alternatives and select an appropriate course of action to achieve desired outcome.
Interpret and analyze data with the ability to draw out information and insights
Develop presentations, MI and reporting
Excellent communication (oral and written) skills. Communicates with clarity and integrity and understands the need for constant and consistent dialog and integration among different stakeholders.
