Boston Medical Center Hiring for Program Coordinator Nursing Digital Media Part-Time Job at Boston, MA Full Time

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Nursing Strategic Communications and Education, the Program Assistant will support the Department of Nursing’s education, recognition, and communications programs. This position will assist in maintaining the department’s internal and external websites, support the department’s weekly internal communications e-newsletter, assist in continuing education activities and other Nursing platforms, and keep content up to date while consistent with BMC web guidelines. This position will also assist in producing engaging content using digital media tools.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES:

Under the direction of the Senior Manager, Nursing Strategic Communications and Education, the Program Assistant will:

• Assist in editing and updating webpages and e-newsletters using HTML code
• Assist in updating online forms for Nursing education and recognition programs
• Create and optimize images and graphics for use online and in print materials
• Assist in developing content (e.g., copy and digital assets) for the department’s social media accounts
• Organize, upload, and maintain a library of photo and video assets
• Keep up to date with social media trends and industry standards
• Participate in some components of video production projects such as filming, audio recording, and video editing
• Assist in other projects and provide technical web conferencing support as needed

JOB REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION:

• A bachelor’s degree in information technology or marketing/communications specializing in web programming and digital media

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, AND REGISTRATIONS REQUIRED:

• None required.

EXPERIENCE:

• 2-3 years of relevant technical experience
• Work experience in the healthcare and academic sector is highly preferred.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

• Strong interpersonal, analytical, and organizational skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Able to work independently and jointly complete assigned tasks
• Must be familiar with HTML code and content management platforms like Drupal and SharePoint
• Essential experience using video, audio, and photo editing software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite)
• Some knowledge of video and audio production using prosumer and DSLR cameras
• Familiar with audio/visual and web conferencing tools
• Moderate expertise in social media
• Experience with Microsoft Office
