The Global Specialty Businesses (GSB) Finance team is an integral part of the worldwide Finance organization, partnering with global functions to help guide and influence Senior Management on investments, organization performance and provide insights supported by meaningful and accurate financial information. The team partners with the leadership of our Global Functions, senior finance management and global finance colleagues across the organization.
The GSB Finance Senior Manager is the business partner support to internal businesses. Customers/stakeholders include the business heads for Case Team Services and Global Knowledge Management. In addition to, this role works closely with other members of the GSB Finance team, global finance more broadly, as well as cross-functionally with IT, HR, etc. and requires very good communication and organizational skills.
With this role, we are looking for a trusted and experienced financial manager to join our team and take ownership of various functional responsibilities related to analysis, reporting, planning/forecasting, and stakeholder decision support.
Responsibilities of this role will include:
Providing comprehensive, accurate and timely reporting/analysis to stakeholders, including creating communications & presentations for leadership
Delivering insights to understand key drivers, proactively highlight risks, issues, and opportunities for improvement
Supporting the forecasting/planning cycles. Take ownership of updating forecasts on a monthly basis, pressure testing, doing thoughtful variance analysis, putting together plan forecast, highlighting risks and opportunities
Collaborating/partnering directly with cross functional teams to problem solve
Driving enhancements/improvements across our processes
Providing thoughtful analysis, with strong attention to detail. You will prepare and distribute monthly financial analyses to business partners.
Communicating key takeaways, trends, and opportunities for improvement.
Balancing sometimes granular data analysis with an understanding of the bigger picture
Building relationships will be critical to success in this role
Ability to frame issues at a conceptual level and resolve complex issues/problems
Working to tight schedules but flex accordingly as business requirements change your priorities. Be able to manage conflicting priorities, prioritize transparently, and communicate openly to ensure constructive and positive outcomes
Strong technical capabilities including Excel analyses and powerpoint story telling
Demonstrate strong communication skills: oral, written and active listening
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance, with 6-8 years of relevant experience of proven excellence with analysis, reporting and presentation of finding
Excellent communication skills – both oral and written
A passion for working in a collaborative team environment
Motivation and self-drive – excited by tackling challenges and pro-actively finding new ways to provide value
Critical Thinking and problem solving – proven ability to work through complex problems and analyses in providing a thoughtful concrete solution
Advanced Excel skills and/or experience with other analytical tools (Such as Tableau, Alteryx, etc.)
