The Global Finance Director – Global Capabilities works closely with BCG senior leadership, including BCG’s CFO, the Head of FP&A (into whom the role reports), Functional Leaders, and the Operations Leadership Team, to provide finance leadership for this critical aspect of the business.
Our functional finance team manages a large part of the spend of non-billable (i.e., excluding Consulting Team compensation) costs for BCG, of which the large majority is under the direction of the Functions, including – amongst others – IT, Finance, HR & People Team, Marketing, Enterprise Services, Legal and Compliance. To support and enable the growth of the business, the spend on these business pillars is becoming more complex and substantial. In this role you will help steer further growth including definition and execution of future operating models (e.g., increased digitization, end to end process structures, optimized interfaces and decision making between central and local models, hubbing of activities), while striving to achieve excellence in ensuring a sustainable multi-year cost trajectory across our functions and anchoring an appropriate cost & return thinking underpinning all strategic decisions.
Inherent in the role is team leadership and a drive for continued development of strategic business partnering capabilities across the team, including how the team works with the business on the identification of areas to streamline, the realization of benefits from (technology) investments and identification of opportunities for efficiency, e.g. through the setup of global platforms. Additionally, this position shall be responsible for driving continuous improvement of finance processes through innovative ways to evolve budgeting, reporting and analysis utilizing new digital tools and capabilities, working closely with other critical functions across BST including HR. The role is supported by a team of 7-9 direct reports (most of whom directly “business partner” functional leaders) and additional 30-35 business partners, business analysts and information specialists.
Members of our finance team are responsible for preserving the intellectual capital, assets, and integrity of BCG. We make a decisive impact on the firm’s direction, performance, and risk-management models. Finance jobs include accounting and reporting, planning and analysis, tax and treasury, financial systems, payroll, and executive compensation.
Candidates should be aware that BCG currently maintains a policy requiring all US & Canada based employees to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. Newly hired employees must be fully vaccinated prior to their employment start date. BCG is an equal opportunity employer and will provide a reasonable accommodation to those unable to be vaccinated for medical or religious reasons where it is not an undue hardship to the company to do so as provided under applicable federal, state, provincial and local law.
