We are seeking a motivated, experienced Chief Legal Officer to lead and advise on all legal matters at the company and will be responsible for staying involved in all business activities across all departments and subsidiaries.BonViveur is an independent, emerging diversified company dedicated to being an indispensable resource. Across digital streaming platforms, sustainability products, live events, and curated experiences. we tell stories that intersect on tech, innovations, events, travel, design, health, philanthropy, music, and more. We are in the early stages of building out the company by populating content across these categories.Responsibilities:Provide strategic direction establishing procedures that protect the company on all legal matters, including but not limited to: litigation, contracts, employment laws, risk and liability, and complianceAdvise the Founder on pertinent legal matters, regulatory developments and compliance mattersAct as the company’s legal expert utilizing background in legal disciplinesAdvise on all matters of compliance as it relates to tax administration and reportingDocument all necessary meeting minutes and file necessary reportsProvide counsel to internal clients to protect and advance the interests of the companyStay involved in new legal developments around state, federal, local, national, and international regulations, seeking advice from other legal contacts as neededNegotiate, draft, and reveal complex transactional agreements and advise on enterprise-wide contracts, including marketing, public relations, human resources, finance, accounting, etc.Lead and participate in administrative tasks, including planning, budgeting, and managing outside counsel relationships and costsRequirements: Candidate must have a JD degree from an accredited law school, be admitted to practice law in at least one state, New York 10+ years of experience in vendor contract negotiations, brand licensing, distribution, circulation, media, and merchandising Proven success establishing global strategic enterprise deals with partnersInterests in travel, digital media, film, television, and publicationsPrior experience as chief legal officer preferredThis is a full-time position with BonViveur Holdings LLC.
