Job Summary
This role is responsible for the Early Careers agenda across the US. The successful candidate will partner with business stakeholders and the Culture and People team, to ensure that the early careers proposition supports the development of the junior talent pipeline and the wider business agenda.

Key Responsibilities
Responsible for Beazley’s yearly Accelerated Training Programme, focusing on new underwriter development. This includes,
Driving the recruitment and employer branding and collaborating with external partners, to attract and maintain a diverse talent pipeline
Collaborating with colleagues across the business to ensure a smooth onboarding experience for all participants
Act as a mentor and coach for participants attending the programme, supporting with career development discussions and broader employee matters
On conclusion of the one-year programme, engage with underwriting teams to ensure a smooth transition to the relevant business area, ensuring they have a great offboarding experience
Partner with colleagues across Beazley and use data insights to evolve the programme, with a focus on expanding across regions, underwriting lines, and the wider organization
Develop the internships programme in the US, ensuring that this is used as an effective pipeline for both graduate programmes and entry level roles within Beazley
Manage intern alumni, keep them engaged and ensure that they are viewed as part of the Beazley community
Work with the wider L&D team to develop our internal pathways programmes to achieve suitable retention of the best junior talent at Beazley
Develop collaborative relationships with external partners and internal stakeholders to implement new programs and continued learning initiatives based on business needs
Design and execute on strategies to continuously improve the candidate experience and engagement throughout early career initiatives
Monitor the effectiveness and return on investment in early career initiatives, reporting as required
Design and execute the resourcing strategy for early careers in the US in a way that is aligned with the global agenda whilst also meeting the needs of local market nuances
Create and execute employer brand and marketing strategies for the US ensuring alignment with global brand and employer brand strategy and standards, while addressing local market nuances
Provide direction to key stakeholders on local market needs and requirements to ensure promotion of programmes, messaging and visual identity increases brand awareness, and strength of candidate pipeline across the US, whilst integrating into the overall early careers proposition.
Person specification
We are looking for candidates with a passion for Early Careers, with excellent communication skills, and the ability to professionally interact and influence across all levels of seniority both inside and outside of the organisation. The successful candidate should have previous exerience in a similar role, ideally working within the insurance sector. We’re seeking someone with experience of guiding, mentoring, and developing junior employees, who enjoys working closely with others, and is enthusiastic and embracing of change and innovation.
