S&OP Manager Position
BIG is seeking an experienced S&OP Manager who will provide leadership in all facets of the Sales & Operations Planning process for the company. This position will be responsible for developing process and systems to increase demand predictability and to create accountability for the forecast across all Brands / levels of the organization and aligning internal communications with respect to all brand, finance, and Supply Chain collaborative forecasts. This position will also be responsible as Centre Of Excellence, for managing Key Performance Indicators including in stocks, forecast accuracy & inventory management. Lastly, this position will create accountability for inventory optimization across all levels of BIG including SKU rationalization, new product launches and the incorporation of mergers & acquisitions. The position will report to and work with the Senior Director of Global Planning & Supply Chain to plan and execute short term and long-term strategies to ensure continued success in a fast paced, high growth environment.
The successful candidate will ideally have worked in a fashion-oriented manufacturing, Consumer packaged goods or Beauty environment and have extensive knowledge of Demand Planning & Supply Planning & ERP systems along with the ability to build and maintain strong cross functional relationships.
. Requirements:
Accountable for driving accountability of the forecast at all levels within BIG
Focus on improving forecast error through working closely with Supply Chain, Sales, Marketing, Brand & Finance teams
Drives to a “one number” forecast across BIG that incorporates all cross functional forecast inputs leading to an accurate Consensus Forecast at the brand and category levels and ultimately for BIG in total
Measures, and works to improve forecast accuracy at lead-time at total BIG, brand and category levels partnering with the brand teams, cross functional and Global Supply Chain teams
Works with BIG brand teams on setting forecast error targets, tolerance levels and reports out performance against the targets to BIG brand teams, cross functional partners, and the BIG Leadership team
Drives agility – the ability to recalibrate plans in the face of market, demand, and supply volatility by working closely with each brand team and Supply Chain planners globally
Establishes targets & tolerance levels
For DOH/Inventory Turns, Excess & Obsolete Inventory levels, SKU Count and New Product performance working closely with the Global Supply Chain team and brand teams
Sets Measurable inventory goals and improves Inventory Optimization working closely with global demand, supply, and brand planners
Collaborates with Supply Planners to determine optimal Purchase Quantities for all managed brands, categories, and SKUS in alignment with agreed upon S&OP targets.
Management of Supply Chain Dashboard in alignment with S&OP targets & tolerance levels
Works closely with finance teams within each Brand to ensure visibility of financial budgets in the S&OP process
Manages S&OP activities to increase on-going maturity S&OP level up to IBP (Integrated Business Planning)
Provides analysis which drives business decisions relative to improving service level, efficiency and customer service via streamlining processes and cost savings projects (Continuous Improvement)
Further increases accountability across the organization for inventory optimization, partnering with Supply Chain Planners on optimizing SKU rationalization, New Product Launches & the efficient incorporation of mergers & acquisitions to BIG.
Works with IT to design reports and processes that lead to simplification and enhanced business planning in support of BIG’s process & reporting improvement goals
Leverages industry best practices and continuous improvement to continually enhance the S&OP process
Responsible for driving culture change
through consensus forecast & S&OP process management creating accountability at all levels of the BIG organization
Implements & ensures the integrity of the monthly S&OP process through partnering with each of the BIG brand teams, finance, and the Supply Chain team on creating and distributing accurate S&OP decks/reporting and ensuring that all inputs to the forecast from the teams (i.e., promotions, events, life cycle planning, seasonality, etc.) are incorporated into the final Consensus Forecast
Facilitates S&OP meetings and collaboration on forecasts and supply plans with brand teams, finance, and the Supply Chain team across BIG
Ensures that supply plan is consistent across all levels of the organization and is aligned with the “One Number” Consensus Forecast
Creates and manages S&OP tools and reporting ensuring consistency in how we manage and track metrics across BIG
Qualifications:
7-8 years of experience working in demand planning, supply planning an S&OP or related role
4-5 years of experience working in a S&OP or other management level role within Supply Chain or a related area
Strong analytical skills with ability to implement successful change.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and prior experience working with demand & supply planning systems (i.e., NetSuite, Demand Works, etc. are strongly preferred).
A bachelor’s degree is required.
A demonstrated ability to create and maintain strong relationships with cross functional partners & brand teams
Strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills.
Strong computer skills (i.e., NetSuite, Grow, Tableau, etc.).
Ability to solve problems and make decisions while working under time constraints.
Must be able to manage a global S&OP process with multiple international locations in a fast-paced, ever-evolving environment.
International S&OP experience a plus.
