Beacon Resources, in partnership with our international Financial Services client in Downtown Los Angeles, California, seeks a dynamic Senior Manager of Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) on a direct hire basis. This is equivalent to a AVP-level role.
Job – You will perform budgeting and forecasting duties for the balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and cash flow. This role requires a lot of interaction with the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), so superior communication skills are a must here as well.
The role is a mix of onsite/remote work, which the onsite work in our client’s Downtown Los Angeles office.

Compensation/Benefits – Salary range begins at $140,000/year and increases depending on qualifications. SENIOR MANAGER OF FP&A DUTIES
Financial Planning and Analysis
- Lead our client’s annual budgeting process
- Create all financial models used for product and business valuation on an annual basis (Annual Operating Plan), a 3 to 5-year Plan, and a long-range plan.
- Forecast on balance sheet and cash flow models
- Manage cash inflows and cash outflows to measure profitability
- Perform variance analysis
- Take ownership of Finance Department’s analyses to support major business decisions, using benchmarks, and Rate of Investment (ROI) trends
Financial Reporting
- Assist in the preparation of company filings and other communication materials
Miscellaneous
- Assist in all internal and external audits
- Assist in all compliance issues
- Accept all financial/accounting/administrative duties as needed
SENIOR MANAGER OF FP&A QUALIFICATIONS
Required
- Bachelor’s Degree
- At least five (5) years of FP&A experience with linear career progression
- Financial modeling experience
- Budgeting experience
- Understanding of public company filings
Preferred
- MBA
- Current or prior employment at a Financial Services company
SENIOR MANAGER OF FP&A SKILLS

- Strong analytical experience
- Expert-Level proficiency in Microsoft Excel (v-lookups, pivot tables, SUMIF Formulas)
Interpersonal
- Detail oriented, with high level of ethics and integrity

- Superior communication skills, especially during major presentations
- Superior managerial capabilities
