This Finance Manager will join a highly collaborative team of 5 finance professionals supporting FP&A & decision support activities for Baxter’s Corporate Functions. Specifically supporting the CIO and IT function, this individual will play a critical role in providing Finance support and analysis for the Digital Transformation initiatives that are a key priority for Baxter.

Overview

• Provides strategic and financial support to Baxter’s Corporate functions, primarily for Information Technology directly supporting the CIO
• With annual operating expenses of more than $600M, this position requires collaboration with senior leadership on key program performance including milestones, and financial performance.
• In addition to support of the Corporate functions, this position will help support Business Transformation initiatives, Cash Flow forecasting and reporting objectives, as well as ad hoc projects as they arise.
• Responsible for management of 1 senior financial analyst

Critical Responsibilities

• Act as trusted business partner, leveraging financial and business expertise to drive strategic decisions
• Manage, review and execute month end close processes, including preparing or reviewing month-end close entries and developing variance analysis of actuals vs. targets
• Lead areas of the comprehensive planning processes (long range plan, forecasts, operating plan) and monthly financial reviews with senior function leaders and Corporate Controller
• Perform ad hoc analysis and modeling for various financial initiatives
• Perform and oversee complex global cost allocations while respecting local country and global tax structure and laws
• Ensure proper accounting treatment and internal controls are in place for business processes

Key Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance with 5-8 years of relevant work experience
• Strong accounting and financial knowledge, including understanding of internal control requirements and accounting principles as well as understanding of relevant business environment.
• Key success criteria include analytical and process management skills, intermediate / advanced Excel skills, ability to deal with ambiguity and comfort managing through complexity and change
• Strong written and oral communication skills, ability to work in a team environment, and time management and problem-solving skills are critical
• MBA or CPA preferred
