Job Description:
Responsibilities:
Deliver on the distribution, syndication, and insurance of Trade assets for Latam and Global obligors; and Lead and contribute to Global syndication, distribution, and defeasance strategies / projects
Provide leadership of, focus on and be responsible for the distribution, syndication, and insurance of Trade assets (“Trade Assets”) for obligors in the Latam region.
Recommend, support, and proactively identify initiatives to increase the liquidity of Trade Assets for the Latam region
Agree to and deliver on Quarterly and Annual targets re the syndication and distribution of Trade Assets for the Latam region
Ability to influence numerous stakeholders and partners to ensure alignment around goals and targets for increasing the liquidity of Trade Assets
Provide feedback on distribution capability to Trade Sales and other Trade team members when appropriate
Actively be involved with other Trade Sales team-members to ensure transactions are structured correctly to meet local financial and regulatory conditions
Be responsible for Trade Distribution standard documentations and other trade-related documents including assignment agreements, participation agreements, syndicated loan agreements and policies
Additional responsibilities may also include:
Required Skills: “Must” have these skills to be minimally qualified
Excellent knowledge of Trade business and in particular issues, the nuances, and dynamics of trade finance.
Excellent knowledge of investor base for trade assets amongst banks, institutional investors, and Multi-Lateral Agencies
Strong knowledge of the key markets in the Latam region
Good knowledge of risk and regulatory capital issues as they apply to Trade Assets
Excellent interpersonal, facilitation, and communication skills with key stakeholders and senior
Strong team player with the ability to take the lead on major deliverables
A demonstrated history of delivering on initiatives
Ability to coordinate processes and work as part of multiple teams across a firm
Ability to work under pressure in a highly professional environment
Passion, integrity, positive attitude, mission-driven, and self-directed
Bachelor’s degree or relevant work experience
Fluency in Spanish and/or Portuguese (a plus)
