Job Description The BAE Systems finance organization is a trusted business partner delivering information and innovative solutions for decision-making in order to deliver quality products and capabilities to our customers and ultimately, the warfighter. BAE Systems Combat Mission Systems Finance is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to provide financial leadership as a key member of the Armored Multi-Purpose Vehicle (AMPV) program leadership team. The Program Finance Manager will lead the Program Finance team and partner with cross functional program leadership to develop program strategy and drive financial metrics to successfully execute the AMPV program.
AMPV is a highly survivable multi-purpose vehicle to meet the U.S. Army’s survivability, force protection, and mobility requirements. The AMPV program is the largest and most complex program in the Combat Mission Systems portfolio with visibility and impact throughout all levels of BAE Systems. The AMPV is built in five different configurations including the General Purpose, Mission Command, Mortar Carrier, Medical Evacuation, and Medical Treatment vehicles. All variants are designed to provide enhanced survivability and performance while maintaining commonality with the AMPV family of vehicles and the Armored Brigade Combat Team (ABCT) to minimize operating costs and logistic burdens.
Location/Travel:
- This role is currently 100% Remote and will eventually be a Remote/Onsite Hybrid role where you will go onsite a few times each week/month.
- The position would ideally be based out of Sterling Heights, Michigan or York, Pennsylvania. However, the position can be based out of any BAE CMS site: Aiken, South Carolina; Anniston, Alabama; Louisville, Kentucky; Minneapolis, Minnesota; Phoenix, Arizona; San Jose, California; Sterling Heights, Michigan; or York, Pennsylvania.
- There may be domestic travel involved a few times each year for corporate meetings and/or events.
Schedule:
- This role will work on a 9/80 schedule where you will have every other Friday off.
Responsibilities:
- Interface with all levels within the organization ranging from Financial Analysts to General Managers and serve as a Strategic Business Partner, Leader, and Mentor
- Providing financial guidance to the Business Area Lead and the Program Management Teams for the CMS business area
- Oversight and mentorship of approximately three Program Finance Analysts
- Leading, mentoring, and developing an effective and technically capable program finance team of analysts, driving program metrics, and key performance indicators
- Oversight of the financial execution of multiple programs
- Ensuring on time and accurate financial reporting for responsible programs
- Collaborate with Accounting, Pricing, Government Compliance, and Financial Planning
- Financial Planning, in Hyperion for Quarterly and Integrated Business Plan (IBP) updates
- Review cost estimates for Product Line proposals, ensuring that proposals are financially sound, risks are understood, and margins are achievable
- Provide analytical data and recommendations for required improvement
- Provide and interpret data as required for contract accounting activities
- Maintain a professional, trained staff commensurate with authorized organizational levels
- Assisting with special projects
- Other duties as assigned
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting with 8 years of relevant experience or equivalent experience
- Experience in Program/Project Finance working with various contract types
- Experience with Financial Planning, Forecasting, General Accounting, and Financial Controls
- Understanding of Cost Accounting Standards (CAS) and Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR)
- Ability to develop, communicate, and present financial data to various functions and varying levels of management
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment
- Capable of efficient and relevant decision-making
- Ability to lead and interact with diverse teams
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills
- Analytical and problem solving skills
- Effective communications skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Oracle ERP

- Graduate Degree a plus
