Position Summary Description
The VP of Finance is responsible for all accounting and financial activities at AWE providing the management team information critical to operating and improving a Lean enterprise. The VP of Finance will serve as the most senior accountant and will also manage two bookkeepers. The VP of Finance will serve as financial advisor to the executive team for strategic planning purposes and work closely with all members of the senior management team to ensure the company is financially strong. The VP of Finance will lend meaning to the numbers to guide real-world decision making and support the company’s growth. This is at-will employment.

Supervisory Responsibility
This position has two bookkeepers as direct supervisory responsibilities. Staffing may increase as the company grows.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
Climate-controlled indoor office attached to a manufacturing facility. No extraordinary physical demands and reasonable accommodation for disabilities willingly provided.
Hours of Work / Work location
The VP of Finance supports the day-to-day business operations of AWE and is expected to be readily available to communicate and perform job duties Monday to Friday between 9:00 am and 5:00 pm. AWE supports telecommuting with information technology and communication systems and hybrid work-from-home may be considered after six months on the job. Business travel is not required but may be available if desired.
Training
Most training is on-the-job, additional formal training as appropriate.
Pay Rate / Salaried position
Competitive salary commensurate with prior experience and demonstrated skills. Annual bonus based on company and individual performance.

Must be eligible to work in the US without sponsorship. Security clearance is not required.
