Atrium Campus Looking for Director of Finance at Bedford, MA Full Time

Role Description:

Reporting to the President/CEO, the Director of Finance is responsible for the day-to-day administrative and financial operations of the company. This newly created position includes timely and accurate reporting of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial results, and assisting in developing annual budgets and forecasts. The Director will serve as a strategic advisor to the President/CEO helping to drive company performance by providing fact-based analysis and strategic financial direction.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ensure that financial information, analysis and reporting is accurate, timely, reliable and relevant.
• Work with the CFO to develop a reliable monthly cash flow projection process and reporting mechanism to meet operating needs of the company.
• Monitor the monthly budget and develop action plans to address variances.
• Maintain internal control safeguards and coordinate all internal audit activities.
• Oversee month-end close and reporting with high level of accuracy.
• Perform G/L and bank reconciliations.
• Support client relationships with the sales team, including invoicing and monitoring client contracts, terms, renewals and collections.
• Manage and audit synchronization of data between the accounting system (NetSuite) and other platforms.
• Manage and reconcile third party vendor invoices and margins, and work with the team to resolve inaccuracies.
• Oversee revenue recognition.
• Manage tax statement preparation.

Requirements:

The Director of Finance will be a reliable leader with 5+ years of broad finance and accounting experience in small to mid-sized businesses managing the finance and accounting functions (accounting, budgeting, control, and reporting). The successful candidate will have the ability to function on a strategic level, in addition to being hands-on and capable of diving into the details and data. The Director of Finance will have the following experience and attributes:

• BS in Accounting, finance or business administration with Masters preferred
• Work experience within a SAAS technology environment is preferred (including revenue recognition)
• Experience using NetSuite is preferred
• Strong working knowledge of financial planning and analysis, budgeting and forecasting, cost accounting, GAAP accounting and risk management 
• Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills
• Hands-on leader with integrity and a desire to work in a dynamic environment
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• An effective communicator at all levels in the organization, with strong oral and written communication skills
• A collaborative and flexible style, with a strong service mentality
• Candidates local to the Boston, MA area will be strongly preferred
