Summary:
Glass Specialist I play a very important part in the process of Glass manufacturing across the different glass processes.
Though the day-to-day duties and responsibilities of Glass Specialist I are dependent in the field of manufacturing, it involves interpreting product blueprints and handling various tools.
.
Glass Specialist I should be a people person who can work well with a team and collaborate with people from other departments.
Also required to possess critical thinking ability, be detail-oriented, and be meticulous in the execution of his tasks.

MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES (Accountability):
Keep an accurate inventory.
Perform required quality control checks on the materials.
.
Must be safety conscious.
Maintain strong work ethics and attendance.
.
Must be able to determine the number of parts and components required for production and serve as a quality checker for in-process and finished Glass products.
Aide in production, maintenance, and restoration of parts and pieces of a product.
.
Read blueprints and work orders and assemble the product according to those plans and process sheets instructions.
Follow technical instructions, interpret engineering blueprints and technical terms.
.
Discern the quality of parts and materials used in production.
Inventory parts and tools used in the assembling process.
.
Follow company procedures and directives.
Review the product in process for possible defects that affect the final quality of the glass product and report it to your superior, GS-II, in time to avoid loss of time and materials.
.
Maintain the tools used to create products.
Keep a clean and well-maintained workspace.
.
SECONDARY DUTIES &
Responsibilities:
Perform cleaning and maintenance as required.
Support other departments as needed.
.
Maintain strong work ethics and attendance.
Qualifications:
Education Entry-level position:
minimum High School Diploma or equivalent (required).
.
Basic math skills (required).
Experience Must be 18 years or older (required).
.
Experience in a manufacturing facility (preferred, but not necessary).
No prior glass manufacturing experience is required.
.
No prior experience is required, we will train you! Physical & Cognitive Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time.
Ability to pull and push heavy carts, tables & tools.
.
Ability to lift objects above your head.
Ability to occasionally lift up to 75 lbs.
.
Ability to adapt to a constantly changing environment.
Must have good eyesight to identify depth, dimension, and color.
.
Good communication skills.
Physical fitness and strength to lift and operate with heavy glass and plastics products.
.
Excellent hand-eye coordination.
Ability to learn and operate basic hand tools, glass manufacturing equipment, and machines.
.
Ability to create and Interpret technical documentation.
Basic computer skills such as emailing, record keeping, ordering, inventory management, and form filling.
.
Willingness to work in flexible shifts.
WORKING DAYS:
Monday-Friday.
.
Occasional Saturdays may be requested.
Overtime available.
.

30 pm.
