Overview: Aston carter is partnering with a local manufacturing company to hire a Finance Assistant (9 month contract-to-hire).
Enter invoices into ERP system for completed services.
Resolve over and/or underpayments.
Invoice clients in a timely manner.
Maintain accuracy in client accounts and files.
Process monthly Visa bill.
Keep assigned general ledger schedules current monthly (sales, fixed assets, A/R).
Assist with daily cash reconciliation.
Perform basic office tasks, such as answering the phone, sorting and distributing mail, assisting visitors with signing in and other needs while on-site, filing, etc.
Assist with clerical and administrative tasks.
Associate’s degree in accounting or equivalent required. Experience in accounting may be substituted in place of an Associate’s degree.
2+ years of experience processing A/P, A/R, and general ledger reconciliations.
Experience with fixed asset accounting a plus.
Proficient in computer skills and Microsoft Office
