Description:
The Financial Reporting Manager (FRM) role reports directly to the Sr. Financial Reporting Manager and will lead a specific functional areas (Regulatory Reporting). The FRM is responsible for leading one or more functional areas and typically has a minimum of 7+ years of experience, robust subject matter expertise, and the ability to lead and manage functional areas without day-to-day tactical oversight.
FRMs are responsible for leading day-to-day operations for their defined role, including both recurring and ad hoc duties with accountability for timely & accurate delivery. FRMs also support growth initiatives within their area of influence in support of the bank’s organic and inorganic growth initiatives.
What we are looking for:
Remains current on recent rules, interpretations, and industry practices (GAAP, regulatory, etc).
Assesses the impact of these changes on the Company and communicates with the relevant parties to ensure that any changes are correctly implemented.
Support growth initiatives including but not limited to new business lines, product extensions and M&A within their area of influence, ensuring that business initiatives are supported with regard to both launch dates and the necessary consideration of changes to internal controls, policies, and procedures
Actively develop relationships across functional areas to ensure cross departmental collaboration
Assist with external financial audits, regulatory examinations, and similar activities.
Provide ad hoc reports customized to the needs of the CAO or other members of executive management.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:
We are looking to hire someone with either public accounting experience, SEC Reporting experience, or Banking/Regulatory Reporting experience. The role is very similar to SEC Reporting, except instead of preparing 10-K’s and 10-Q’s, we work on reports for the Federal Reserve (such as the bank’s Call Report). We are going to have significant growth in this department due to the Bank approaching $100B in assets in the next couple years, so I see a lot of room for career growth in this role. The target salary is around $130K, and the bonus is 15% and the stock is $13,500.
Qualifications:
4 year degree from an accredited institution. Degree should be in Accounting.
CPA license is highly preferred
Experience with a Big 4 (or top tier) audit firm and/or significant experience within a large bank’s Controller’s Group (Corporate Accounting Group) is highly preferred
Candidate should have 5-10 years of direct experience in the discipline.
