Description:
The FP&A Manager will be responsible for working with business partners to develop financial forecasts, help lead the annual budgeting process, and provide operating and financial variance analyses to drive strategic business decisions. This person will play a key role in developing technology investment business cases, including projecting the total-cost-of-ownership of software products, and projecting and tracking the enterprise value of products and investments (revenue and cost savings).
Job Responsibilities:
Functioning as a key finance point of contact for business stakeholders, driving financial transparency and insight into cost and revenue drivers
Present financial updates across a variety of stakeholder groups, including internal finance, tech leadership, and operational executives (Manager to EVP level audience)
The central point of contact for a fast-growing segment of the business
Run monthly close & forecasting process; validate and analyze results while identifying key execution items to plan.
Lead the annual budget process
Work closely with leadership to help identify, drive and monitor margin expansion opportunities (cost reduction, revenue expansion) while improving performance levels.
Work with accounting team to appropriately book and forecast cost and revenue; appropriately apply accounting principles related to Capex, revenue recognition
Providing ad hoc analysis to leadership to help articulate business performance and trends
Develop process solutions through automation, standardization, and innovation.
Manage direct report(s); effectively divide responsibilities across the team and promote the professional development of direct reports
Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent working experience
3+ years of experience in Financial Planning & Analysis Senior role, analyzing financial results/statements and developing budgets and forecasts
Intermediate Accounting experience/knowledge (capitalization, revenue recognition)
Analytical and critical thinking skills
Ability to effectively communicate results verbally and through financial analyses and other documents to all organizational levels
Ability to manage multiple priorities while keeping pace with changing internal and external customer demands
Ability to work independently and cross-functionally
Experience in building and running complex financial models and financial allocations
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and PowerPoint
Polished management presentation and communication skills; ability to defend and articulate concepts effectively
