The Division of Child Care (DCC) is responsible for the development, oversight, and implementation of the Child Care and Development Fund State Plan, and additional federal child care relief investments which require states to ensure equitable access to high quality child care, focused on child development and well-being.
DCC is seeking an experienced and highly motivated individual to join our team as a Financial Manager. This position is responsible for assisting in administering a budget of approximately $1.
3 billion federal Child Care and Development Fund (CCDF) dollars and providing oversight and management of the processes and daily fiscal operations, delivering extensive fiscal expertise, and assisting with all financial matters including, but not limited to strategic planning, monitoring financial activities including revenues, expenditures, appropriations, budgeting and obligations and contractual activities.
This position may offer the ability to work remotely, within Arizona, based upon the department’s business needs and continual meeting of expected performance measures.

The ideal candidate for this position will have :
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, business, public administration, or related field. Master’s degree in one of these fields and / or professional certification (e.
g. certified public accountant) is a plus.
Prefer practical work experience managing the budget / finances of a large, complex organization.

Any employee operating a motor vehicle on State business must possess and retain a current, valid class-appropriate driver’s license, complete all required training, and successfully pass all necessary driver’s license record
checks. The license must be current, unexpired, and neither revoked nor suspended. Employees who drive on state business are subject to driver’s license record checks, must maintain acceptable driving records, and must complete all required driver training.
An employee who operates a personally owned vehicle on state business shall maintain the statutorily required liability insurance (see Arizona Administrative Code (A.A.C.) R2-10-207.11)

Retirement :
