We are looking for a strategic HR Business Partner, based in our Toronto office, to help support our growing technical and non-technical teams, both locally and globally, and to help AppLovin continue to stand out as a great place to work. Reporting to the Director, People (North America), the ideal candidate has experience in fast-paced, dynamic environments and can help scale/manage our rapid growth. Help create and maintain the strategic direction of the people side of the businessWork closely with leaders of business team to understand, recommend, and implement goals in growing teamsCollaborate across the global People Team, and act as a driver for strategic support on all HR-related initiatives and operational efficienciesProvide expertise, guidance and coaching to leaders managing highly sensitive and complex employee relations matters, including performance management, terminations, and other HR-related mattersSupport the growth and development of employee culture and moraleProactively analyze and identify complex people issues and trends and recommend appropriate actionsAnticipate training & development needs, develop plans & programs, and coordinate implementationCoach managers in appropriate people management best practices (i.e. recruiting, performance management, discipline, reward & recognition, and exit strategies)Support leaders in proactive management of compensation packagesAct as a change agent related to any people related initiatives

5+ years of experience, working in a strategic HR role, and working directly with senior level managersExperience working supporting both technical and non-technical teams within a technology company (preferred)Ability to make administrative and procedural decisions, and exercise judgment with sensitive/confidential issuesStrong coaching, conflict resolution, relationship and team building skills, and demonstrated ability to influenceExcellent communication skills, including the ability to write clearly and succinctly in a variety of communication settings and stylesStrong ability to coach and/or counsel othersStrong knowledge of local employment laws and standards
