Another Source’s client, InvestED, is recruiting a Development and Partnerships Associate (referenced as an Investments and Partnerships Officer internally) to join their team. This role has the flexibility to work remotely anywhere in the state of Washington. InvestED is headquartered in Renton so you have the flexibility to work in the office 3 days a week if you are local or 100% remote outside of the general Renton area. InvestED helps students get to school, stay in school and graduate with funding and support for 660 secondary schools throughout Washington State. Last year InvestED and our partners changed the lives of more than 300,000 students in Washington, without paperwork or questions, with immediate help when it was needed most: college application fees, testing fees, tutoring, track shoes, warm coats. It’s about big impacts at little cost, with no fuss.
The Investments and Partnerships Officer plays a key role in establishing and maintaining relationships with a portfolio of community leaders and individuals who are current and prospective partners and supporters of InvestED’s work. They will cultivate these relationships as a member of the Investments and Partnerships team to engage individuals, foundations and corporations across the state and solicit their investment of time, talent and financial support in InvestED’s mission.
Specifically, this position will initiate contacts with potential investors; develop and deploy individualized cultivation strategies which harness the full range of InvestED’s people and programs; develop solicitation and closure strategies; and deliver ongoing, and personal reporting regarding any and all investments made.

Major Responsibilities:
Fundraising
- Support strategic direction for InvestED’s fundraising goals.
- Support current programs and implement improvements based on best practices.
- Manage a portfolio of prospective donors; includes strategically soliciting and securing gifts
- Manage stewardship activities for existing donors, including Major Donors
- Update internal documentation and track external conversations in donor management software (Knowledge of Little Green Light and Dot Drives is a bonus)
Metrics and Reporting
- Working with the Director, Investments and Partnerships, establish meaningful metrics, dashboards, and/or data collection systems that are efficient for our donors, partners, and sponsors.
- Support policies and processes to prepare organization scaling.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree desired and a minimum of three (3) years of related experience in nonprofit fundraising.
- Strong analytical skills
- High level of organizational skills and ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability and desire to work as part of team; identify with and support the mission of InvestED
- A commitment to the values of InvestED: Professionalism, Integrity, Compassion and Initiative
Reports to: The position reports to the Investments and Partnerships Director.

Benefits package includes employer paid medical, dental and vision insurance, paid holidays, vacation and sick leave. Employer will match contributions to IRAs after 12 months of employment.
