American Indian Health & Services is a Santa Barbara based, non-profit organization where we provide quality medical, dental, pediatric and behavioral health services to all members of our community. Founded in 1994, our community clinic has served the Central-Coast’s healthcare needs for over twenty five years. WHAT WOULD I BE DOING AT THIS JOB?
Status: Exempt, Full-time, Onsite
Salary Range: $140,000 – $150,000 annually, DOE
We are seeking an experienced individual ready for a C-level position to head our program development team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background and skills in program development. This is an onsite only position, and remote work will not be considered.
Under the general direction and supervision of the Chief Executive Officer, the Chief Program Development Officer works collaboratively with the key staff and leadership of the health center in achieving the organization’s mission of providing high quality health care services that promote wellness within the Native American community and among other underserved populations living in the Santa Barbara region. As part of the Administrative Department, the Chief Program Development Officer and direct reporting staff work to identify unmet needs, locate available resources, develop funding proposals, implement grant-funded projects, evaluate outcomes, and report results to stakeholders. The Chief Program Development Officer also participates in outreach and community engagement activities designed to improve awareness of health center programs and increase service utilization.
Participates in development and implement the organization’s strategic planning objectives.
Oversees delivery of specific grant activities and reporting.
Performs fundraising activities in the community as directed
Prepares and submit progress reports for all externally funded projects at regular intervals to inform funders and collaborating agencies of progress in achieving the objectives.
Develop sustainability strategies to ensure continuation of services developed with short-term, non-recurring funds whenever possible.
Adherence to industry and funder requirements including but not limited to CMS, Indian Health Services (IHS), Health Resources Services Administration (HRSA), and Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services (SAMHSA)
