J ob Description – Manager Strategic Initiatives Technology Finance
The Manager Strategic Initiatives, Technology Finance will be a critical member of the Tech Finance leadership team who will work across the team and with key stakeholders to help build upon our strategic vision and strengthen our team culture. This position is project-oriented and will provide analytical, strategic, and executional support for the organization. The manager will report to the VP – Technology Finance , within the Corporate Planning & Analysis (CP&A) organization. The Technology Organization is a critical function at AXP, serving as the backbone of all we do, from providing the underlying infrastructure of the company to building core products and services we deliver to our customers.
Responsibilities include:
Lead strategic and analytical initiatives related to Credit & Fraud Risk and ensure successful delivery
Manage organizational and operational processes, lead project team
Develop agendas for Tech Finance global town halls and strategic planning sessions
Maintain the agenda and ensure accountability for takeaways in key leadership team meetings
Lead the strategy, development and execution of communications and talent management activities across a global team, including the year-end process and org chart maintenance
Lead the colleague development and engagement initiatives, including learning sessions, volunteering opportunities, rewards & recognition, and various networking events within the teams as well as the wider Finance organization
Serve as a liaison between Tech Finance CFO and key business partners’ executive offices
Manage the teams’ financial budget, including annual planning process and tracking variance against budget
Qualifications
Highly motivated individual with an ability to drive results and work with ambiguity
Exceptional organizational skills required
Exceptional communication skills – verbal, written and through presentations
Ability to break down complex ideas into understandable and actionable messages
Proven track record of managing / navigating wide-ranging organizations and processes
Sound judgment in handling confidential information
Ability to handle high pressure environment with aggressive deadlines
Excellent PowerPoint skills to enable effective senior executive presentations and communications
Min 3 – 5 years of relevant work experience
Qualifications
Salary Range: $80,000.00 to $155,000.00 annually bonus benefits
