This is a Part-Time position located at Andersen Air Force Base in Guam.
Purpose and Scope:
The Finance Analyst is responsible for the preparation and analysis of financial studies and reports.
Essential Responsibilities:
1) Prepares financial plans for submittal in bid proposals, and the financial portion of feasibility studies.
2) Prepares credit reports on and determines financial risks of customers, subcontractors, and co-ventures.
3) Prepares cash and investment forecasts, lease versus purchase analyses, and investment reviews.
4) Determines the availability of financing for selected customers and countries.
5) Identifies sources of financing, analyzes alternatives, and recommends financial institutions.
6) Arranges preliminary financing commitments for potential customers from export agencies and commercial banks.
7) Analyzes foreign exchange positions.
8) Determines the availability and risk of foreign currencies.
9) Prepares cash management plans.
10) Maintains schedules of outstanding guarantees and letters of credit.
11) Prepares analyses of accounts receivable and administers the collection of past due receivables.
12) Develops computerized models for financial statements, cash flow projections, debt service schedules and other financial studies.
13) Prepares other financial analyses and evaluations as requested.
14) Assists in the preparation of country studies and in the preparation and administration of investment portfolios.
15) May specialize in project finance, financial analysis, or cash management.
16) Records and prepares daily summaries of cash activities.
17) Ensures that all reports and disclosures comply with applicable regulations, standards and organizational policies.
18) Under close supervision, performs a variety of assignments requiring the knowledge and ability to select and apply standard financial techniques, procedures, and criteria.
19) Analysis of past and present financial operations instead of analysis of financial studies and reports.
20) Performs all other position related duties as assigned or requested.
Minimum Position Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
Bachelor’s degree in finance, or business administration or demonstrated equivalent.
Two (2) to five (5) years of experience in related field.
Good oral and written communication skills
Working knowledge of word-processing and integrated software applications; organizational skills
Ability to perform detail-oriented work are required.
Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands:
Typical office environment with no unusual hazards, occasional lifting to 20 pounds, constant sitting while using the computer terminal, constant use of sight abilities while reviewing documents, constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication, constant mental alertness, must possess planning/organizing skills, and must be able to work under deadlines.
