Job summary
Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Finance Manager to be a key partner supporting our AWS Professional Services (ProServe) business. We are looking for an entrepreneurial, analytical, creative, flexible finance leader to help us redefine the tech industry. As a Finance Manager, you will work side by side with business and finance leaders to develop business strategies, financial models, and analytical insights.
The AWS ProServe organization is a global team of technology experts that help customers realize their business outcomes (product launch, scale, and optimize) when using the AWS Cloud. AWS ProServe provides global specialty practices to support customer efforts in focused areas of enterprise cloud computing (e.g., AI & ML, Analytics, Robotics, Security, DevOps, etc.) as well as focused industries (e.g., Financial Services, Healthcare, Media, Automotive, Manufacturing, CPG, Energy, Public Sector, etc.)
The successful candidate will be strategic, analytical, and have a demonstrated ability to influence the decisions of senior business leaders through effective verbal and written communication, financial analyses, logical reasoning, and the presentation of alternatives. The role operates in a global, results-oriented environment and will provide decision support and advice for key business leaders.
Key job responsibilities
• An MBA or MS in Finance, Economics, or a related field
• Thinks strategically, but stays on top of tactical execution
• Strong business judgment capable of driving a diverse organization to the right results with a focused, pragmatic approach
• Proven ability to meet tight deadlines and prioritize workload
• Proven skills to earn trust from business partnership and drive cross-organization changes
• Demonstrated ability to influence decisions through effective verbal and written communication, logical reasoning and the presentation of alternatives
• Has the innate ability to inspire passion in others
• Builds processes and mechanisms that are scalable and avoid unnecessary complexity
