Job summary
Amazon seeks a Senior Finance Manager to play a key role on the Amazon Devices Finance Team. Over the past decade Amazon has developed a number of market-leading, innovative, and fast-growing digital and mobile businesses including Kindle, Fire Tablets, Fire TV, and Echo. This is an exciting opportunity for an entrepreneurial minded candidate who wants to work in a start-up like environment, is passionate about hardware and digital experiences, and is interested in directly supporting new emerging products.

The successful candidate will have experience in past roles influencing business owners and supporting decision-making in rapidly evolving environments. This role requires a self starter with strong financial modeling skills and the ability to manage multiple projects effectively. This role also has regular interaction with executives and various business units across Amazon, so strong interpersonal and communication skills are required.

This position will be based out Amazon corporate offices in Seattle, WA; Arlington, VA; Sunnyvale, CA; the Los Angeles, CA area; or New York City, New York.

Key job responsibilities

• Supporting product and portfolio scenario analysis with financial modeling and data-driven recommendations
• Financial budgeting, planning, reporting, and variance analysis
• Creating and implementing financial and operating performance metrics, identifying key call outs and drivers to senior management
• Managing a team within this scope of work

• Experience in hiring, leading and developing teams including a demonstrated ability to set and execute a clear direction for your team, prioritize workload and drive projects to completion
• An ability to work independently in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment with tight deadlines and a work ethic based on a desire to exceed expectations
• Proven analytical and communication skills with an ability to articulate complex financial views to business teams
• Advanced analytical skills including a demonstrated ability to develop and manage financial models for business forecasting, variance analysis, and problem solving
• Experience in cross-matrixed organizations
• MBA, MS or related advanced degree
