Position OverviewThe Business Analyst for the Retail Center of Excellence (CoE) will have a deep understanding of the Retail business processes and partner with business and IT stakeholders to gather requirements and document business needs in support of delivering IT capabilities to solve business problems.
Job Requirements Specific Responsibilities o Responsible for understanding current Retail CoE capabilities and processes o Develops and maintains a deep understanding of the business process within their scope with comprehensive documentation o Documents and as needed updates the existing documentation for the Retail coE business processes o Partners with the Retail Product Owner to align the business roadmap with the IT capability roadmap.
o Effectively facilitate sessions to capture use cases/requirements with business stakeholders o Responsible for capturing business use cases/requirements and documenting them as business and functional requirements o Supports the business partners with developing a business case for capability changes o Proactively recommends business process changes and improvements within the capability framework o Creates traceability requirements throughout the project lifecycle to ensure solution delivered ties to the original business objectives o Facilitates sessions across IT to capture system capabilities o Documents current and future business processes in the form of use cases/requirements o Validates that all use cases/requirements are being fully tested o Adheres to IT standards, operating policies and procedures o Proven ability to work under pressure to meet tight timelines while still maintaining high standards o Self-starter that shows initiativeCommunications:
o Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to present information to technical and non-technical stakeholders o Comfortable with ambiguity; can handle the unexpected with flexibility.
o A team player who favors collaborative approaches when working with internal and external partners.
o Proven ability to build trust with others through a commitment to the highest ethical and professional standards.
IT Development o Possesses knowledge of emerging Retail technologies, and the ability to apply these in the service of the company’s key business goals.
o Customer-service oriented.
o Outstanding organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
o Display professionalism and good judgment.
Experience o Experience working as a Retail BA or similar role preferredEducation o Bachelor’s degree required; technology disciplines preferred.
