The Website Product Owner is responsible for leading the online projects along with prioritizing them within a dedicated SCRUM agile team. The Product Owner will be involved in the Sprint level activities related to a segment of the online service portfolio of products, including the customer self-service portion of Allstate.com website. The Product Owner role leads an agile team including facilitating all applicable agile ceremonies, representing the customer in defining requirements, understanding the product vision in order to manage and prioritize the backlog, and partnering with key stakeholders. The Product Owner collaborates with the Product Manager sand other Product Owners to holistically support the portfolio.
Key Responsibilities:
“Voice of the Customer” within a website scrum team, managing the team backlog, facilitating sprint planning, and writing and grooming user stories focused on a defined feature set, resulting in the delivery of high value initiatives and an exceptional customer experience
Participate with assistance in cross functional programs/initiatives that impact online service, including promoting self-service capabilities and communicating a point of view related to self-service impact
Look for, lead and develop new initiatives, innovations and business opportunities, providing guidance on improvements, resulting in the intake of new work
Collaborate with Product Managers and other Product Owners to ensure programs and processes across the entire system are aligned and prioritized, identifying potential problems and assisting in their resolution
Communicate scrum team updates, status and issues clearly to key stakeholders and leaders, in various settings and formats
Actively engage in the team’s agile processes, identifying opportunities to make them more effective
Leverage Key Performance Indicators and other operational metrics to monitor customer satisfaction and needs, identifying optimization opportunities
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
2 years experience in one or more of these roles: Product Owner, Product Manager, Product Management or Business Analyst experience
Passion for websites, analytics, teamwork and learning!
Functional Skills:
Existing knowledge of and expertise with website capabilities
Ability to maintain established relationships necessary to influence delivery and roadmaps, and to communicate concepts to stakeholders to influence decision making and buy-in
Ability to think strategically, properly prioritize work to ensure the best business results, and to drive and own decision making
General understanding of product development concepts and agile techniques and processes

Compensation offered for this role is $67,000 to $100,000 and is based on experience and qualifications.
