Role Summary
This Distribution Account Manager for Key Accounts for OTA and MSE is responsible for leading the sales portfolios for our key Online Travel Agencies and Metasearch engines. This position will look for opportunities to grow AS market share, increase revenues and support the overall distribution strategy.
Key Duties
Create an annual OTA distribution cost forecast and, in collaboration with Finance, remain within budget.
Continuously optimize performance for private specialty products such as Opaque or Tour Operation, in partnership with Revenue Management.
Track KPI that align with our distribution strategy using Tableau developed with the Analytics team.
Police OTA and travel agency selling practices worldwide to ensure our product’s attributes are displayed correctly and meet our terms and conditions, in partnership with Legal.
Audit and sign-off on invoices from OTA for distribution expenses.
Develop negotiation plans and cost analysis scenarios during contract renewals. Partner with Marketing during negotiations.
Work with IT and eCommerce to develop product strategies.
Analyze cost and implement strategies to reduce distribution costs while maintaining revenue goals.
Monitors meta sites to ensure adherence to restrictions on onward distribution by OTAs.
Liaise with Call Center and Ops to ensure customer satisfaction and investigate day-to-day issues.
Attend partner or trade events and hold quarterly business reviews with our travel partners.
Actively partner with the NDC Onboarding Manager to provide a value-based approach to third party travel partners.
Work with Alliances in supporting our international expansion plans.
Supports implementation of new ancillary products and fees, including cross-functional coordination.
Job-Specific Experience, Education & Skills
Required
2 years of contract negotiation experience.
Bachelor’s degree or an additional two years of relevant training/experience in lieu of this degree.
Experience in analytics and forecasting.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to develop and execute business plans to support business objectives.
Professional, reliable, enthusiastic, congenial, self-reliant, self-motivated, and assertive.
Ability to handle multiple concurrent tasks independently.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum age of 18.
Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
