Air Products Looking for ACCOUNTANT at Allentown, Pennsylvania Full Time

Position responsibilities:

• Potential to grow within a dynamic accounting organization
• Responsible and empowered to ensure accurate bank accounting through:
  • Uploading bank statements into SAP in order to reflect all transactions
  • Ensuring the bank statement equals the balance in the general ledger control accounts.
  • Working with other departments to receive details of payments and receipts which do not stem from Accounts Receivable.
  • Post all bank transactions related to Accounts Payable, Treasury, Intercompany, HR and Tax
  • Analyze the clearing accounts to ensure all payables and receivable items are being cleared on a regular/current basis
  • Liaising with other members of the Financial accounting or Transaction processing teams in order to clear reconciling items.
  • Carry out monthly bank reconciliations in order to maintain the integrity and accuracy of the Air Products Cash Books.
• Willingness and motivation to grow to involvement and responsibilities in other overhead accounting areas, including accounting for prepayments

Education and Experience:

• Experience with and knowledge of general accounting
• An understanding of SAP and desire to learn.
• Ability to plan and prioritize own workload to meet deadlines
• Ability to work under time pressure and as part of a team
• Good interpersonal and communicative skills (verbally and in written)
• Some IT skills with a very good working knowledge of Excel.
